• At the heart of my work is a commitment to supporting people to thrive, enhancing health, wellbeing, and connection, reducing stress, and fostering happier, more balanced lives. As part of this mission, I host the Live Well, Be Well Radio Show, where I explore diverse ways to support wellness with the people of Cork. Each week, I bring together expert voices, qualified practitioners, health specialists, and thought leaders to share practical, evidence-based insights and discuss topics that matter most to living well.
Through these conversations, I provide tools and strategies to improve physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, helping individuals live their healthiest, most fulfilled lives. By connecting listeners with expert guidance and actionable advice, the show creates a meaningful impact on both personal and community wellness.

  • Laughter is one of the most natural and effective ways to shift how we feel. Even when it begins as simulated laughter, the body quickly responds, activating natural physiological processes that support relaxation, emotional release, and a sense of wellbeing. Through guided laughter practices combined with gentle breathing techniques, participants are supported to release tension, reconnect with their bodies, and experience a simple but powerful shift in mood and energy. No humour, jokes, or performance is required—just a willingness to participate and engage.

    Laughter For Wellbeing

I love it, the staff love them, and most importantly, the residents love them. Deborah is able to connect with people at every level, adapting to their individual physical needs. With different stages of dementia, she responds intuitively, understanding what each resident needs in the moment — which is incredibly important to us.
Everyone benefits. Residents and staff feel comfortable joining in, having fun, and relaxing — it’s wonderful to see them enjoying themselves together. We see real reactions, which is exactly what we hope for, along with plenty of genuine laughter.
I would wholeheartedly recommend laughter for wellbeing sessions to other care homes. The benefits go beyond the laughter itself — including breathing exercises, gentle movement, and meaningful social connection. Families can also join in, sharing special moments with their loved ones and other residents.
  • Wellbeing in Action

Alongside awareness-raising and community engagement, I deliver practical wellbeing programmes and interactive workshops that inspire healthier, more connected communities. Designed for community groups and voluntary organisations, my sessions focus on stress management, emotional wellbeing, resilience and social inclusion, combining evidence-based approaches with engaging, meaningful experiences that people genuinely enjoy. With practical strategies for managing everyday pressures to creating opportunities for connection and belonging, each programme is tailored to meet the unique needs of the group.
My signature Connecting to Joy programme helps participants explore the power of mindset, develop greater self-awareness, and understand how stress impacts both mind and body. Through practical techniques, movement-based practices and simple tools that support nervous system regulation, participants learn how to work with stress rather than against it, creating more space for calm, connection, resilience and joy in everyday life. Every session leaves people feeling inspired, equipped with practical strategies they can use every day, and empowered to create positive change in their own lives and communities.
